Pricing questions
It's prepaid and pay-as-you-go. You add credits to your balance and spend them per token as you make requests — $0.50 per 1M input tokens and $2.00 per 1M output tokens. There's no monthly subscription and no minimum.
No. Credits stay on your balance until you use them — there's no calendar-month reset or expiry. New accounts start with $1 in free credit to try the API.
Requests return a 429 until you top up. Your balance never goes meaningfully negative and there are no surprise overage charges — you decide when to add more credits.
Both input and output tokens count. The gateway records provider-reported prompt and completion usage when it exists; if an upstream omits usage, the service uses an estimate through the same metering path.
Yes — Enterprise is a per-seat subscription ($20 / seat / month) that unlocks higher rate limits and priority routing. Token usage is still billed to your shared credit balance. Volume pricing is available on request.
